Another adventurer and heroic pilot who earned his wings in the second world war, named Jose Dormoy but better known as "Le Pipe", accepted the job. Since all his departures from the tiny air-strip would bring him straight above Simpson Bay, he knew exactly where to choose his land from the then deserted beach...on the widest and most beautiful part. That is where he built his home and planted a goup of coconut-palms on the beach. His bird-eye view proved to be the very right choice...the beach in front of the Le Papillon Residences, is still the widest part and the palm trees are still waving in the trade winds.
